Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility technology, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Service Engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $69.50 per hour

What's the Job?

• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Serviceability (Design for Serviceability).
• Evaluate part and assembly design, from concept to design to manufacturing introduction for hand clearance, tooling clearance, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement of all components.
• Develop service part release strategy and maintain the Service BOM for spare parts planning.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on the build of new product iterations.
• Support specialized tooling design, development, and validation that is used by the field team.

What's Needed?

• Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing and developing products through the lifecycle.
• Ability to design for a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Tooling and/or equipment design experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 years of mechanical engineering experience.
