The Team MetLife Investment Management (MIM) manages nearly $600.8 billion in assets, with over 850 professionals. MIM specializes in fixed income and private assets, including real estate. Position Details The Managing Director, ABS Team Lead, will oversee a team of 3 underwriting and managing an $11 billion portfolio of Asset Backed Securities across various asset classes and regions, primarily US-backed but also including international assets. Key Responsibilities Underwrite Asset Backed Securities and Asset Based Funding opportunities. Develop relationships with investment banks and capital markets teams. Engage with issuers and market participants. Communicate credit opinions and transaction details. Present market updates on ABS. Collaborate with trading desks and portfolio managers. Represent MIM ABS to clients and industry organizations. Qualifications 12+ years in securitized underwriting, with experience in consumer and commercial ABS. Deep knowledge of securitization structures. Strong industry relationships. Experience developing team members. Proficiency in analytical platforms like Intex, Bloomberg, Blackrock Aladdin. Understanding of insurance Risk Based Capital frameworks. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $207,500 - $225,000.
